Dr. Mike Stewart, CMI Executive Director

 

Dr. Stewart serves as the volunteer executive director to assist CMI staff with vision, planning and implementation.  He has successfully led several non-profit agencies in the Bay area to achieve their mission and create new opportunities for growth and support.  He and his wife Sheila have three grown children.

 

 

Sandra Ezat, CMI Director

Sandra Ezat immigrated to San Jose, CA in 1999 as a Software Engineer from Toronto, Canada. She worked as software quality assurance manager at several high technology start-ups and publicly traded companies in Canada and the Silicon Valley where she managed web based applications as well preparatory software applications. Sandra's management experience at the semi-conducting companies ranges from managing operation sites at 4 countries simultaneously to delivering final software products to consumer electronics companies such as Sony, Mitsubishi, and Panasonic. In 2007 Sandra joined the CMI team as the Director of Refugee Support Services. On Nov 2009 the CMI board voted Sandra to become the new CMI Director . Sandra is married with 3 children.

 

Dave Maturo, CMI Partnership and Internship Coordinator

 

Dave coordinates all Partnership Projects as well as the Internship programs.  He worked with college students for 10+ years in Florida.  He has led multiple teams to the former Soviet Union, South America and inner city Miami.  Dave and his wife Brook live in San Francisco with their two children, Samuel and Lilia.

Dr. Lyman Alexander

Dallas Allen (photo not available)

Ms. Allen is a BSN, PHN, Audiometrist and serves at CMI board with compassion that comes from 30+ years of experience as a nursing supervisor at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Dallas has special Ed Teaching Credentials for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She also serves as lead ESL teacher with CMI RSS.

 

Jackie Bailey

Director, Operation Share.  Jackie serves as non-paid Director of Operation Share, the food distribution program of the Central Coast Baptist Association.  Oversees 5 distribution sites in Santa Clara and Monterey counties, all staffed by volunteers, which served approximately 21,000 people in 2009.  Jackie has been the Director of this program for 20+ years.  She and her husband Bob have 2 grown children and 6 Grand-children.

 

 

Hilaria Bauer (photo not available)

Ms. Bauer is the Academic Achievement Officer in Alum Rock Union Elementary School District.   Prior to that Hilaria was the Grant Administrator, Fischer Middle School, San Jose, CA, and before that Hilaria was a part-time professor at the University of Texas in San Antonio.   Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Hilaria Bauer immigrated to San Antonio, Texas at the age of 16 in 1978. Hilaria began her career in education in 1985 as a fourth-grade bilingual teacher and worked as an elementary school teacher while pursuing her master's degree. Hilaria attended St. Mary's University, graduating magna cum laude with a major in English communication arts and a minor in French. She completed her master's degree at the University of Texas in San Antonio in 1990.

 

Mike & Flora Becket (photo not available)

Mike and Flora Becket are currently serving as volunteer directors of a refugee program in a Middle Eastern country.  They are from San Jose and are retired from their accounting practice.  Before leaving San Jose, they were active in refugee work, and have served in various capacities in their local church. 

 

Mr. Lee Gomez is currently a State Farm agent with his agency based in San Jose, CA. He utilizes his 30+ years in the business world to provide planning and management experience to CMI programs.  Lee has served as board members of several non-profit organizations and associations.  Lee is married to Mrs. Sandra Gomez and has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

 

 

Debbi Tuck is a brilliant music director and an active member of local community. She enriches children's lives by organizing and directing musicals at two schools in the Bay Area and their home church.  She is married to Russ Tuck and have two teenage children.

Russ Tuck is an engineering manager at Google and active member of his community. Beside developing cutting edge software Russ and their two teenage children help with sound, lights, and backstage crew for the musicals that his wife, Debbi, organizes and directs.
