History
Since 1985 Operation Share has been a powerful partnership between non-profit food banks, churches, agencies and those in need of food, hope and encouragement. Clients are welcome from all walks of life, cultures and circumstances. Over 250,000 individuals have been fed through Operation Share since its inception.
Costs
Operation Share is funded by donors, churches and agencies who are passionate about hunger relief. There is NO COST for clients who use the service.
Program
Each distribution site is staffed with caring volunteers who make a difference in the lives of real people. Distribution sites are throughout the Bay Area and have staggered distribution schedules so that immediate needs can be met throughout the week. All sites offer relational connections with their client families and respond to voluntary request from clients to receive encouragement, prayer and hope about their life situation as they see it. Currently, there are five sites open--Park Victoria Baptist Church, Milpitas, Foxworthy Baptist Church, West San Jose, Emmanuel Baptist Church, East San Jose, Rosewood Community Church, Downtown San Jose, and Iglesia Bautista Del Rey, Watsonville.
