To provide a hands-on program to help students grow their unique passion and leadership gifting and to assist CMI member organizations, churches and agencies to impact their target communities.
A Partnership Project is an opportunity for your community organization, church, or agency to send a team to the Bay Area to work with local community projects, churches, or ministries.
CMI Refugee Support Services was established in 2007 to build bridges between the local communities and the legally arriving refugees in the Bay Area. We partner with the refugee resettlement agencies, VOLAGs, to help and facilitate practical, tangible ways that local community volunteers can love and serve refugees and change their community one family at the time. CMI Refugee Support Services encourages volunteers and local community agencies to engage in building and growing local communities one family at the time.
Volunteer opportunities include welcoming refugees when they first arrive at the airport, transportation assistance, doctor's visit companion, assistance with furnishing an apartment, teaching English, donation drive, food distribution, seasonal clothing Drive, special events, resume writing, job search, teaching basic Bookkeeping, teaching Graphics Design, teaching marketing and advertising skills, fundraising and administration help, and much more.
